Find a REALTOR® Search the directory Select a REALTOR® Choose a REALTOR® to guide you in the process of buying a home. Discuss agency choices and select appropriate working relationship. Obtain Financing Find a mortgage company. Consult with a loan officer. Get pre-qualified. Obtain loan pre-approval. Find the Right Home Determine your wants and needs based on your budget. View properties with your REALTOR®. Choose the right home. Make an Offer Review comparable sales to determine offer price. Review programs of loan pre-approval; decide on financing. Decide on other terms – inspections, possession date, personal property, etc. You will be required to provide earnest money. Your REALTOR® will prepare the purchase agreement and present the offer. Negotiations The seller will either accept, reject or counter your offer. Review the terms of any counter offers and make any needed changes.
