Why are we switching to SentriLock?
After much consideration by the lockbox task force, it was decided SentriLock was the best lockbox vendor for SCAAR moving forward. We looked at pricing, hardware and also took into consideration that our neighboring Associations either currently use or will be switching to SentriLock later this year. This change allow our members to easier access to lockboxes in surrounding areas.
How will I access the lockboxes?
You will have an app on your phone, similar to what you use now for Supra lockboxes. SentriLock boxes also have a keypad and allow you to send one day codes as well.
Will there be a monthly fee increase?
No! In fact, after the conversion, REALTOR® members you will no longer have to pay the monthly electronic key fee. Electronic key and lockbox services will be a member benefit. Our Preferred Partner members will have a nominal fee. (It will not be more than the current fee. In fact, it will likely be a few dollars less. Check back for updates.)
Will my dues increase?
No. Your local dues will remain the same for 2027.
When are we switching to SentriLock?
The lockbox exchange process is scheduled for December 2026 (dates and location coming soon). We are planning to have 2 days for the conversion. You will be able to come in when it best fits with your schedule. When you bring your lockboxes in, while new SentriLock boxes are being programmed for you, you will participate in the training to learn how to use the SentriLock boxes and key service.
Will I be able to exchange my current Supra boxes?
Yes! On conversion day, bring in any eligible Supra boxes you have (latest generation boxes only) and we will exchange them on a 1:1 basis for new SentriLock lockbox.
How much will new SentriLock Lockboxes cost?
There is no charge to exchange a Supra box for a SentriLock box during the converstion timeframe. If you wish to purchase lockboxes on conversion day, lockboxes will cost $45, plus tax, for members. We will have lockboxes available at this price for 90 days post install (or until we run out of boxes on hand). After that time, boxes will increase to their retail cost of $109, plus tax.
Who does this effect?
This important technology change will affect all members of SCAAR. Current Supra services will continue uninterrupted until the transition.
